Anson is not the first time that sheds light on the authorship of a painting, but without the fuss. Thus, considering the impressive collection of paintings of Lastanosa, attributed to Peter Aibar Jiménez, Zaragoza seventeenth-century painter, painting Glorification of saints Orencio and Patience the altarpiece of the chapel Lastanosa.

"In the passionate world of the powers of the great masters, which is walking on eggshells and the academic prestige is coin bet, Goya is a genre in itself, "said Angeles Garcia in El Pais . Given this risk, no more than applaud Anson for their certainties and the vehemence with which to defend them.

Photo Anson, in Ars
for this man we see in the picture, while studying at the Institute Goya was already tough to determine the certainties and also defend.
We met in the spring of 1971, in a library that was on the street Eduardo S. Hernaz (then Father Polanco), which would become the library of the San Jose Zaragoza. This library was miraculous and was banned many books of poetry, or "non-current, as Wind Village, Miguel Hernandez, street poet, Alberti, or Canto General of Neruda. One day I was with the first of those, learn "Sitting on the dead." Arturo beside him a stack of books, but I had at hand was the face of an LP and an English dictionary to look frequently. He's funny how good investigator, initiated the conversation to find out the reason for my strange muttering. Cleared my literary interests, informed me of his own, folk music lover, had bought I'm in a reactor of Peter, Paul & Mary, but it seemed strange the song titles and he was translating for his account.

Peter, Paul & Mary at 68: Leaving on a jet plane

Our first trip we made scenario together in September of that year, ending in a youth festival we did in the Baltasar Gracian. There were two speakers, Alberto Mura, president of Ideas, which presented to us, and Henri Bourrut, president of the Young Friends of Animals, who spoke of air pollution. And we were three "artists": Arturo U.S. and English folk singing, playing the piano Luis Colomer Bach and Beethoven, and I recited Machado. We shared the stage with a vulture, Egyptian vulture kind, an owl and a serpent much larger than the water snake. All of them alive, appearing as representatives of the wildlife preserve. I think it was Colomer who was better. Rather, without Colomer doubt that was very good. It is also true that among the predators and the middle and a grand piano, while Arturo was only through the guitar.
The following month, the poetry began in the auditorium of Youth Radio and repeated Zaragoza cast with some changes: Arturo talk about folk music in general and sing several examples, Colomer would play works by Cabezón, organist of the sixteenth century, and Let It Be, I speak of sung poetry. This time we were all better. Arturo was very eloquent in its certainties was the best possible source because it corresponded with Joaquin Diaz.
Remember that those years are polemics with the "purity" of folk and Pete Seeger since he slammed the electric guitar to Dylan, Zaragoza fans were divided, and at some festival had come to blows. It attacked Peter, Paul & Mary folk music to market, and Arthur always defended passionately. How not to defend the beauty, why not surrender to the categorical expression of Mary Travers, the sober and subtle waves of the trio! Moreover, as said by the mouth of Antonio Machado Mairena: "The ethics of aesthetics"

Peter, Paul & Mary, 1971: Peace March

[In the first video that accompanies these lines we saw in the Australian television set was missing, at least a microphone for the guitar Paul Stookey-low you hear is a bass that do not appear on the screen. In the second climax of the march on Washington against the Vietnam War, not heard from them. The first song I sing "Blowing in the Wind" ("The answer is in the wind") to Dylan, struggle, precisely with the wind and the bounce the sound that forces them to defend the song guitarrazos. Like in the second, "Give Peace A Chance" ("Give peace its chance") of Lennon and Ono, but with the introduction of John Denver is decanted into the tribal hymn interpretation, giving Peter Yarrrow to keep playing to take up the guitar and strengthen the choir. Should they degrade acting without conditions, sacrificing the artistic? Certainly a problem of ethics and aesthetics which can not be generalized, because there is so much an artist trying to make do standing on a barricade ...]

We
Youth Radio for a year, although it focused only on poetry, singing or reciting with music. With Arturo would play Carlos Estepa, Cerezal and Francisco Gil. Inevitable and candidly, the music that accompanied the lines of Blas de Otero sounded often in "The House of the Rising Sun."
Arturo, Francisco Gil and I frequented the Cerbuna College, where he presented the news and hear where the quartet first Kidron (with Kidron, Praino, Strocio and Sarraute) that came with Xavier Ribalta. Plácido stood by Serrano, José Antonio Labordeta, Racing and Fernandez Clemente, who watched from a distance and respect. The Quartet Kidron we discovered the existence of two Argentine poets impressed us: Raúl González Tuñón and Juan Gelman. They also sang some poems before Columbus, that was what he liked to Arthur.

But Anson was not one that conforms to approved and when entered into the full faculty dedicated to his career. On August 26, 1972 made his last appearance in the tables accompanying poems by Lorca, Aleixandre, Miguel Hernandez, Celaya, Blas de Otero, Nicolas Guillen and Manuel Pacheco.

Finally, the popular song lost a beautiful voice but today we have another "Goya."
