Officially no, but I want to tell a story that happened to us in the Vakantiebeurs 2011 which is the largest fair in the Dutch market and in which the adventure, culture and history of the peoples of the world meet each year.
The first day of the fair, as we entered the fairgrounds drew my attention to the banners that hang in all the rooms and halls of the place, as noticed in them the graceful figure of a beautiful woman wearing one of our national costumes. Later, when someone gave us some free passes to enter the event saw that they were a replica of the banner is in the fair and to reconfirm that the poster girl wearing our national dress. I just could not leave my amazement and could feel proud to be Nicaraguan out from every pore of my body.
the second day as I approached the booth Nicaraguan Institute of Tourism (INTUR) to greet the businessmen and Mary Esther Forest - Representative of the Directorate for the Promotion of INTUR - I also found the presence of a nice, friendly girl wearing a costume. His face seemed familiar, and of course is the same girl of the banner is all paperwork of the fair! Immediately I said, You're the same photo of the banner and invitations right? With astonished face told me I do not know and ran towards the entrance of the room 3 to see more closely the banner, came back and told enthusiastic tone: Yes, I am.
The image of the fair girl called Karla Rivas. It is a fabulous dancer and a lovely local lady who moved from 1997 to the Netherlands when his heart was trapped forever by a friendly and cheerful Dutch. His passion for dance has not diminished one iota and other Nicaraguans living in the Netherlands have formed a folk dance group Nicarao which comes in different events, thus supporting the national art.
On January 14 Karla was invited to delight fairgoers with their art and Solar Monimbó danced. After her performance on stage and spoke about the attractions that Nicaragua is destined. This cultural ambassador is in the stand of INTUR support the important work of promoting the institution has place within the context of this important tourism fair.
